Mission & Vision

Our Vision
A society where all individuals, especially foreign women and girls, are empowered, aware of their rights, and free from discrimination and violence.

Our Mission
ELAS aims to support foreign women and girls residing in Lebanon by providing social, legal, protection, and health support services, especially to those suffering from gender-based violence and discrimination. ELAS also seeks to empower them and their families to live healthy and productive lives.

Our Goals:

  1. Protection: Provide shelters and health, psychosocial, and legal services and referrals to appropriate service providers to foreign women and girls residing in Lebanon who are gender-based violence (GBV) survivors or who lack familial or social support networks.
  2. Capacity Building: Train foreign women and girls who are GBV survivors to enhance their capacities in education, health, self-care, and reproductive health, and empower them, their families, and their children to lead healthy and productive lives.
  3. Awareness: Educate women and girls about their rights, while enabling them to actively participate in social, political, and economic spheres, and ensuring their equitable access to economic and financial resources.
  4. Mitigating GBV Effects: Develop and implement programs aimed at mitigating the effects of gender-based violence in all its forms and support activities that aim at promoting gender equality and eliminating all forms of discrimination and violence against women in society.
  5. Building Networks and Collaboration: Establish support groups, incubators, and networks for communication, twinning, and socio-cultural and economic collaboration. This includes partnerships between local and international women’s groups and organizations with similar goals and objectives and with the women’s communities locally and in their home countries.
  6. Promoting Education and Research: Support cultural, social, and human rights-related activities, conduct relevant research and studies, and assist students in accessing schools, institutes, and universities
